Number of visits: 1Last year I stumbled upon this secluded North Eastern restaurant while wandering aimlessly down the road off Nong Lin Xia on a Saturday afternoon.It was a winter day and the restaurant advertised hot pot, but it seemed unlikely that I could order it because I was alone. Surprisingly, they had a personal size hot pot! I've encountered single-diner hotpots before, but all of them were offered by places specializing in hot pots, so this is something new to me.The pot was small & portable, with a hollow tube in the centre of the pot. One downside to the personal pot was that it used alcohol gel instead of gas or electric stove, thus the heat generated was never enough to produce anything beyond a simmer. It took an eternity to cook everything, and the fat of the lamb that I ordered were floating on the surface of the broth since it wasn't properly rendered.(All in all, it was an interesting discovery for me.
